Position Title: Video Monitoring Technician

Reports To: Clinical Nurse Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Video Monitoring Technician provides continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients. They are the first line of action to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at-risk behaviors and alert nursing staff through communication devices or STAT Alert alarms if immediate assistance is required. This role supports REHAB’s effort in establishing a safe environment by performing temperature screenings for all staff, patients, and visitors prior to entering the facility.
Starting Wage: $14.42/hour
The posted wage is the current starting wage for this position. Actual wage is dependent on the applicant's relevant experience and qualifications for this position. The wage range for this position may be subject to change in the future depending on various factors such as market conditions, business needs, legal developments, and other appropriate factors.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills/Experience:
- Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Proficient in computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office and/or Google).
- Ability to learn new software.
- Maintain a viable work schedule to meet the department needs (e.g. evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Certification/Licensure:
- Current BLS certification
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills/Experience:
- Previous video monitoring, surveillance, and/or patient care experience.
- Familiarity with standard hospital procedures.
- Proficient in computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Office and/or Google).
- Ability to learn new software.
