Center for Christian Virtue's (CCV) Web Designer plays a crucial role in enhancing our online presence through impactful visual storytelling, ensuring that our mission is effectively communicated the community and our supporters. The ideal candidate is a creative-based professional with strong technical aptitude for web development and design.
Reports to: Visual Communications Director
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Compensation: Full-time, Salaried/Exempt; Commensurate with experience
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and maintain CCV's website using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and XHTML, ensuring a positive user experience.
- Optimize website performance for GEO and SEO, responsiveness, load times, and accessibility standards.
- Full understanding and utilization of WordPress format and customization.
- Collaborate with the Communications and Visual Communications Directors to produce highly functioning websites that align with the organization's messaging and branding.
- Create responsive and interactive web elements to support multimedia content, including videos, podcasts, graphics, and photography.
- Ensure website design and multimedia content are consistent with CCV's brand identity and support organizational goals.
- Work closely with internal teams, including the Christian Business Partnership, Ohio Christian Education Network, and Church Ambassador Network, to support web-based and multimedia initiatives.
- Stay current with design trends, web technologies, multimedia tools, and best practices to enhance the website's functionality and user experience.
- Skills in multimedia assets using tools like Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and audio editing software are a plus.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in web development with a strong design and multimedia focus.
- Proficient in WordPress, HTML, CSS, and XHTML.
- Full understanding of GEO and SEO optimization.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain a high-quality standard.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and creativity.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.
- Agreement with and adherence to CCV's Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrated commitment to CCV's mission and position on Core Issues.
- Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
- Trustworthy, responsible, tactful, diplomatic, and focused on building consensus rather than emphasizing differences.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism focused on client/constituent relationships.
