Overview
We are seeking a Web Developer who specializes in WordPress & SharePoint to lead the ground-up development and long-term support of a WordPress-based website. The platform will serve as a centralized site for education, outreach, multimedia content, and internal administrative functions. The role includes building features for video management, comment moderation, calendar sharing, and content updates.
This individual will be responsible for full-lifecycle web development and will provide continuous enhancement and maintenance of the site using WordPress, SharePoint, and open-source tools.
Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a modern website using WordPress, open-source tools, and scripting languages
- Create and manage dynamic content such as videos, user comments, and shared calendars
- Work with stakeholders to determine site requirements, design feasibility, and project timelines
- Apply security testing tools and follow coding/testing standards during development
- Conduct code reviews and insert annotated documentation for team collaboration
- Administer and customize SharePoint for internal collaboration features
- Build and automate workflows including permission changes and content lifecycle operations
- Configure search features, site collections, and custom content types in both WordPress and SharePoint
- Develop custom reports, forms, and modular site enhancements as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation for development, deployments, and revisions
- Ensure site accessibility, security compliance, and optimal performance
- Demonstrated experience with WordPress web development and content administration
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SharePoint configuration and customization
- Demonstrated experience using open-source software in a professional development environment
- Demonstrated experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Experience building and scripting workflows, including dynamic security permission changes
- Experience in building custom reports, forms, and feature enhancements
- Strong skills in configuring search, site collection structures, and custom content types in CMS platforms
- Demonstrated experience with web application development beyond CMS platforms
- SharePoint Administrator Certification or equivalent experience
- Lead the creation of a mission-aligned website from the ground up
- Work at the intersection of outreach, education, and administration
- Use modern open-source technologies to support internal and external users
