Job Description: Data Entry Specialist/Copy Editor - Part-Time Role
This position is with Collabera, offering a pay range of $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr, based on skills and experience. The role is onsite in Lansing, MI, for a duration of 6 months, with potential extension or conversion based on performance.
Key Details:
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with a 20-minute paid lunch
- Working hours: Approximately 20 hours per week, on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
Essential Job Functions:
- Proofread created products to ensure accuracy across various materials including horticultural copy, advertising copy, and reference books.
- Verify correctness of copy and layout regarding spelling, grammar, typeface, size, line spacing, layout, and printing specifications, correcting mechanical errors.
- Edit new copy and layouts for clarity, readability, consistency, style, and conformity to automation requirements.
- Draft Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree (AA) focusing on English studies from an accredited college or university.
- Six to twelve months of related experience.
- Good attendance and willingness to work overtime if needed.
- Ability to pass color vision and hue tests.
