Job Description

As a VFX Artist, you are responsible for being proficient in green screen keying, rotoscoping, and compositing both 2D and 3D elements. In this role, you’ll have the chance to collaborate closely with editors, motion designers, and producers to bring ideas to life in a dynamic work environment.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team initially on a 3-month contract basis, with the potential for full-time employment based on performance and business needs

Qualifications

• Keying and Compositing Expertise: Skilled in green/blue screen keying, rotoscoping, and integrating 2D/3D elements into live-action footage.
• Professional Experience: At least 1+ years of professional experience as a VFX artist or in a related role
• Creative and Technical Problem Solver: A keen eye for detail with a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to both creative and technical challenges.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in Nuke and/or Adobe After Effects.
• Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage deadlines without compromising quality.
• Bonus Skills: Familiarity with 3D pipelines and workflows, basic scripting or automation, and interest or background in motion graphics.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Green Screen and Rotoscoping: Key green/blue screen footage and perform high-quality rotoscoping.
• Compositing: Seamlessly composite 2D and 3D elements into live-action shots to match lighting, perspective, and tone.
• Environment and Beauty Cleanup: Perform tasks like skin retouching and removing unwanted objects or elements from footage.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with editors, motion designers, and producers to bring creative visions to life.
• Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot technical issues and develop efficient, practical solutions during production.
• File Management: Maintain organized, shareable project files to streamline team collaboration.
• Creative Adaptability: Receive and apply feedback throughout evolving project phases.
• Deadline Adherence: Deliver high-quality work on schedule, maintaining a consistent pace without sacrificing attention to detail.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with new VFX tools, trends, and compositing workflows.
• Creative Contribution: Offer input and ideas to enhance visual storytelling and overall production value.
