The Content Research & Development Editor for Economics works within the Discipline Strategy Team to analyze instructor and student learning patterns using Macmillan Learning digital products and other digital platforms in higher ed Economics curriculum. The role involves applying Economics expertise to inform content strategy, creating prototypes, wireframes, and other works-in-progress for testing and learning processes. The editor helps identify and conceptualize learning problems specific to higher ed Economics, outlines research approaches, tests hypotheses, and evaluates if content solutions meet instructor and student needs while differentiating us in the market. They assist in analyzing customer needs to enhance content adoption and may manage freelancers and participate in project management for developing Economics learning assets. Identify and analyze solutions to learning problems in Economics teaching and learning. Ensure product market fit and differentiation. Review and update existing products, investigate competitors’ offerings, and collaborate on new ventures. Define update scope and capacity planning with the Learning Resource Group. Coordinate content updates to maximize value and market differentiation. Work on growth strategies, messaging, and adoption pipelines in collaboration with marketing teams. Required Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Economics 2+ years' professional editorial experience in educational publishing 1+ year in media or development editorial Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications:
Curriculum design experience Certification in discovery or marketing methodologies PhD in Economics Passion for innovation, data-driven insights, and emerging technologies Salary Range:
$65,000 - $75,000 per year. Physical Requirements:
Ability to concentrate, multi-task, and work in a busy environment; occasional travel and overtime may be required. Remote Work:
