Base pay range

$42.00/hr - $43.00/hr

Our Retail client is seeking a freelance Art Director to concept and product digital content. This is a freelance role working 40 hrs/week for a 12 month contract with potential for extension. This role is hybrid working onsite 4 days a week with one remote working day. Candidates must be local to St. Louis, MO to be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute creative work for both print and digital platforms.
• Concept and produce digital content such as E-commerce assets, digital ads, website visuals, video content.
• Contribute to packaging design projects.
• Ensure high-quality execution and attention to detail.
• Present your work confidently and apply feedback effectively.
• Collaborate with account managers, strategists, creatives, clients, and vendors to deliver strong, brand-aligned work.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years as an Art Director or similar role in an agency or in-house creative team
• Strong portfolio showcasing both digital and print work
• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
• Experience designing for: Social Media, eCommerce, Digital Display Ads, Retailer Digital Platforms
• Strong typography and layout skills
• Motion design experience (After Effects, animated GIFs)
• Familiarity with Figma is a plus
• Strong conceptual thinker with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal and project management skills
• Self-starter who can manage multiple projects at once
