INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY MANAGER
FULL TIME, PERMANENT POSITION
Thomas More College seeks to employ a skilled ICT Manager to lead our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) operations, ensuring alignment with the school’s strategic objectives and a passion for the education environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement the school’s ICT strategy, ensuring seamless integration with academic and administrative functions.
- Lead ICT projects, including classroom technology enhancements, network infrastructure, and security systems.
- Oversee ICT policies, procedures, and compliance with relevant legislation (POPIA, copyright laws, data security).
- Manage ICT budgets, procurement, and asset registers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal resource allocation.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the ICT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Deliver high-quality ICT support to educators and staff, ensuring smooth operations across all school departments.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols are effectively implemented.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Adherence to the Christian Ethos of the School.
- A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a school environment.
- Strong knowledge of educational technology, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and digital learning tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, Palo Alto, Voice, Vlan, WSUS & Azure.
- Expertise in network security, data management, and ICT compliance standards.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and external service providers.
- Criminal and Sexual Offender’s Clearance Certificate.
