Job Description The Director of Sales & Marketing role is a senior leadership position within the hotel’s Executive Committee. This role is responsible for driving revenue performance and developing strategic business plans to maximize returns and establish The Woodward as a leading hotel in the market. Responsibilities include achieving sales goals across all segments (Entertainment & Leisure, Business & Corporate, Group & Events) by building and deploying a high-caliber sales team with effective strategies for key source markets. This leadership role oversees all B2B marketing efforts to promote brand strategies and consumer marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, be innovative, results-driven, and possess excellent business acumen with attention to detail. Experience in revenue generation with differentiating strategies and knowledge of global source markets for luxury European hotels are essential. We seek a driven leader who is a great team builder and eager to enhance the reputation of The Woodward and Auberge Resorts Collection as top luxury brands in Europe. Lead the annual business planning process in collaboration with the Director of Revenue Management and Director of Finance. Act as the primary contact for communicating commercial strategies and revenue plans with the hotel ownership group. Drive top-line revenues across all sales segments—leisure, group, and catering. Develop and execute trade and B2B marketing strategies. Provide strategic oversight of sales managers to ensure targets are met. Analyze market trends, create demand generation initiatives, and work closely with revenue management to shift market share. Develop strategies for key accounts to foster business growth. Collaborate with Global Sales teams in the US and EMEA. Meet clients, both corporate and social, including site inspections and walk-in prospects. Achieve or surpass quarterly and annual sales goals through excellent customer relationship management and prospecting. Coordinate with Auberge Resorts Global Sales team to optimize brand opportunities. Lead and execute all aspects of B2B marketing in support of sales activities. Qualifications
Based in Geneva, Switzerland Minimum 5 years as a Director of Sales and Marketing in a luxury hotel environment Proven ability to lead a sales and marketing team Strong understanding of Smith Travel Report (STR), Financial P&L, sales mix, forecasting, group contracts, and F&B spend for groups Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus Bachelor’s degree required Additional Information Auberge Resorts Collection offers a portfolio of unique hotels, resorts, residences, and private clubs.
