Saint Matthew Parish in Akron, Ohio and Our Lady of Victory Parish in Tallmadge, Ohio, neighboring parishes, have an opening for a full-time Director of Music Ministry. Together, the parishes share approximately 1,600 households and an integrated schedule of liturgies. Responsibilities would include selection of liturgical music, providing keyboard accompaniment, directing and collaborating with other musicians, as well as choirs, cantors, and instrumentalists. A Bachelor of Music degree is preferable, and familiarity with Catholic liturgical rites and traditions is necessary. Salary commensurate with experience and education; benefits are available.
