What You'll Do: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of designers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Oversee design and development of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, budgets, and timelines. Drive conceptualization, design, and prototyping of new products or solutions, ensuring technical feasibility and excellence. Collaborate with Technical Leads, Program Managers, Production, and Quality teams to meet customer requirements and control costs. Establish design processes and workflows to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Review and approve design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines. Evaluate and select materials, technologies, and manufacturing techniques to optimize product performance, cost, and sustainability. Promote continuous improvement in design methodologies and best practices. Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets for on-time, on-budget delivery. Lead cross-functional collaboration and resolve technical challenges during design and development. Provide performance feedback and development opportunities for team members to foster growth in technical and leadership skills. What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Management, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of design engineering experience, with leadership in complex projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks. Strong knowledge of design principles, CAD software, and simulation tools. Understanding of materials properties, components, and hardware. Ability to document the design process thoroughly and accurately. Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS 9100 standards. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience managing and mentoring diverse teams, driving performance and innovation. Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
