Position Overview

Bach To Rock (“B2R”) America’s Music School for students of all ages is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to provide weekend music and performance lessons. Teachers use B2R curriculum to deliver inspiring music education, covering theory, technique, and performance.

Responsibilities

1. Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements.
2. Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson environment.
3. Assess students’ readiness for bands or ensembles.
4. Assist at school events.
5. Perform equipment repairs as needed.

Requirements

1. Understanding of music concepts and effective communication skills.
2. Advanced knowledge of music theory and technique relevant to primary instruments.
3. Effective time management and organizational skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities.
5. Experience as a performer (solo or group).
6. Experience working with youth or beginners.
7. Effective interaction with children and adults.
8. Ability to pass a background check.

Additional Details

• Starting pay at $18/hr.
• Availability on Saturdays or Sundays with consistency.
• Preference for candidates teaching multiple instruments.
• No teaching at other local music lesson facilities within 5 miles.

Bach to Rock offers flexible scheduling, marketing, scheduling, booking, and billing support, allowing teachers to focus on instruction. Compensation is based on education, experience, expertise, and performance, reviewed over time.
