What you'll do
- Direct crew in the completion of assigned tasks to ensure quality and safety adherence related to placing Utility Poles and installing/repairing cable.
- Operate diesel or gasoline-powered equipment (Backhoe, Trencher, Directional Bore, Digger Derrick, Pole/Bucket Truck) to/from/on the jobsite.
- Place Utility Poles.
- Locate buried wiring/cabling.
- Install underground telecommunications cabling.
- Flagging: direct safe coordination of vehicles and equipment in active work areas.
- Property or worksite restoration.
- Inspect equipment, work quality, and adherence to specifications.
- Perform general construction tasks, including physical labor (using hand tools, lifting up to 50 lbs, etc.).
Who we are looking for:
- At least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- At least 1 year of experience with installation/repair/maintenance of underground utilities, with specific Pole Truck experience required.
- Current CDL license.
- Ability to operate utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely.
- Ability to follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safety standards per regulations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Capable of lifting/carrying 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
- Availability for overtime, after hours, weekends, emergencies, or on-call work in all weather conditions.
