What you'll do:
- Direct crew members in completing assigned tasks to ensure quality and safety adherence related to placing Utility Poles and installing/repairing cables.
- Operate diesel or gasoline-powered equipment to/from/on the jobsite (Backhoe, Trencher, Directional Bore, Digger Derrick, Pole/Bucket Truck).
- Place Utility Poles.
- Locate other buried wiring/cabling.
- Install underground telecommunications cabling.
- Perform flagging duties to direct safe coordination of vehicles and equipment within active worksite areas.
- Restore property or worksite areas after completion of tasks.
- Inspect equipment, work quality, and adherence to specifications of work crews.
- Perform general construction work, including physical labor such as using hand tools and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
Who we are looking for:
- At least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- At least 1 year of experience with installation, repair, or maintenance of underground utilities, specifically Pole Truck experience.
- Current CDL license.
- Ability to operate various utility trucks, equipment, and hand tools safely.
- Ability to follow directions, produce quality work, and maintain safety according to all regulations and policies.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
- Willingness to work overtime, after hours, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
