Assistant/Associate Professor, Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders

Biola University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank to participate in the B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Responsibilities: This position involves a 9-unit academic load with a 3-unit course release for activities related to accreditation, research, and graduate mentoring per semester, beginning Fall 2025. The role includes academic advising, serving on campus committees, and participating in departmental activities. ASHA certification and California state licensure are required. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience and publication records.
- Qualifications: Ph.D., SLP.D., or Ed.D. in communication sciences and disorders or related fields is required. ABD candidates for the terminal degree will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to high-quality, student-centered instruction, outstanding teaching, scholarship, and service. Excellent communication skills, enthusiasm for multidisciplinary work, a strong Christian commitment, and interest in integrating faith with learning are essential.

Hiring Range:
- Assistant Professor: $74,489 - $80,929
- Associate Professor: $87,577 - $99,061
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
