Overview of the Design Studio Specialist role
You will inspire customers to express themselves in their homes, assist with design consultations, and promote ongoing engagement with our brand.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with design consultations both in-store and in-home, utilizing your design expertise to drive sales.
- Perform in-home consultations, including measuring and assessing living spaces accurately.
- Create and present design plans tailored to clients' needs, styles, and spaces.
- Stay informed about current sales and promotions to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Assist customers with services like gift wrapping, registry, merchandise locating, and special orders, maintaining exemplary service standards.
- Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge of the design studio assortment.
Criteria
- Strong communication, clienteling, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage complex orders across various sales channels.
- Experience or interest in design elements is preferred.
- Proven multitasking and prioritization abilities.
- 1-2 years of customer service and retail sales experience; specialty retail experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move items up to 75 lbs. safely.
- Full-time associates should have open availability; part-time associates must be available for a minimum of 15 hours weekly, including weekends and holiday seasons.
