Overview
The corporate headquarters of a manufacturing company is looking for a Graphic Designer to join the Team!
This position is responsible for maintaining and creating visual concepts and designs that are needed by the company. The Graphic Designer will assist with creating and updating company brochures, websites, marketing material, and other projects. He/she is to ensure that the company's visual goals are met.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):
- Plans and illustrates concepts by designing rough layouts of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetics.
- Updates designs currently used on brochures, website, social media, and other marketing material.
- Coordinates with internal team in the design concept phase through completion of a project.
- Obtains approval of concepts by preparing rough layouts for review.
- Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
- Ensures operation of design equipment and software by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment.
- Coordinates with outside agencies, services, printers, etc. to complete projects.
Compensation: Commensurate experience
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm
Skill and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise through a strong portfolio with high-quality designs.
- Skilled in design software, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate with stakeholders and team members.
- Proficiency in typography, color theory, and design principles to create impactful visuals.
- Efficiently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to adjust designs based on feedback and evolving project requirements.
- Creative ability to overcome design challenges and deliver effective solutions.
- Knowledge of design trends. Awareness of industry trends and the ability to integrate them into projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in graphic design or a related field, or significant equivalent experience (5-8 years of experience in graphic design).
- A high level of proficiency using Adobe products like InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain design decisions in words and writing.
- The ability to receive, interpret, and implement constructive feedback from project stakeholders into your design work.
