Graphic Designer / Coordinator
Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing digital files for print production, ensuring quality and accuracy in the prepress workflow. High attention to detail and ability to manage time well is key to upholding the Ultimate Corrugated Experience. Strong communication and organizational skills are required to coordinate projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preflight checks on documents to identify and rectify potential printing issues prior to production.
- Prepare and optimize digital files for printing, including color correction, image manipulation, and layout adjustments.
- Review and edit files accurately to meet production quality standards.
- Ability to use 3-D software for customer presentation.
- Attend production press checks for print quality review.
- Collaborate with customer service, production, and design teams to meet project requirements.
- Manage color across different print methods and ensure color consistency.
- Maintain accurate job documentation to track prepress workflow.
- Coordinate and track projects printed externally through an extensive approval process, including art transfers, revisions, and document retention.
- Communicate with approved vendors regarding art manipulations, layout requirements, and usual business communication.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
- Strong knowledge of color management and calibration techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate effectively both verbally and via email.
- Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
Physical Demands
Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lifting as required to assist with sample process. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields, mandatory hearing protection, and steel toe boots. Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting, and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
