Join Qualcomm's Customer Engineering team to work with OEM/ODM partners in designing and developing IoT devices based on Qualcomm platforms. Customer Engineers are expected to understand customer requirements, communicate effectively with internal teams regarding HW/SW design issues, and support multimedia driver development.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to resolve feature development and product commercialization issues.
- Support display, audio, and camera drivers for various interfaces and integrate bridge ICs and codecs.
- Develop, integrate, and debug multimedia drivers on OEM designs.
- Customize multimedia drivers per customer specifications and provide end-to-end support.
- Work with cross-functional Qualcomm teams to address customer problems efficiently.
- Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to customers and developers.
- Measure, analyze, and optimize multimedia performance.
- Create technical documentation, application notes, and conduct customer training.
- Partner with customers to define product specifications and plans.
- Handle customer Q&A and collaborate with internal development teams.
- Provide technical training to customers and communicate feature details internally.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of software applications engineering, software development, or related experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++.
- Experience with embedded systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Linux/Android software development, debugging, and kernel driver development.
- Knowledge of Qualcomm chipset software and firmware development.
- Experience with WDM, ACPI, and system integration on Windows/Linux/Android platforms.
Additional Minimum Requirements:
- Master's or PhD degrees with relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Experience with programming languages like Java, Python, and debugging techniques.
