Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for a Sales Specialist (ILS) to contribute to our Library Services (ILS) team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville.
In this role, you will manage library relationships in a multi-state territory. You will position Ingram as the premier provider of all media and value-added services to libraries and achieve or exceed established territory revenue goals. Additionally, you'll train library staff to use Ingram systems and respond to customer requests via email and video conferencing. As the Sales Specialist, you will represent Ingram at state and local shows as required.

Required Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or GED
- 2 years sales, book industry, or related experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with libraries
Key Responsibilities:
- Profitably sell the company's products, services, and related materials to libraries in the assigned territory through web meetings, phone calls, email, and occasional on-site visits.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with customers and prospects.
- Attend state and local conferences to present ILS products and services.
- Provide input and feedback for all territory RFPs (request for proposals) and formal bid responses, including customer requirements, competitor information, trends, and bidding strategies.
- Participate in managing annual budgets and strategic sales plans for the territory.
- Educate customers on ILS offerings like Collection Development, Cataloging/Processing, and Opening Day Collection services to streamline library processes.
- Assess library workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and engagement with ILS products and services.
- Negotiate discount and freight terms for new and renewing pricing agreements, focusing on profitability.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of ILS products/services, competitor offerings, and market changes.
- Report market requirements, customer needs, and competitor developments to management.
- Use Salesforce CRM to document customer interactions and information.
- Create and deliver presentations on ILS products and services via web meetings, site visits, and conferences.
Salary Range: $57,155 - $71,232. This range considers factors such as education, experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
