Job DescriptionJob Title: Instrument and Controls DesignerLocation: Manassas, VAAbout the Role:Are you passionate about working on projects that power the core of a leading business? Join our dynamic team and you'll have the exciting opportunity to contribute to designs for semiconductor manufacturing, data centers, and other state-of-the-art facilities. If you're a detail-oriented designer with a strong I&C background, come be a part of something big! You'll be: Designing I&C Systems: Creating detailed instrument and control system designs. Utilizing CAD/BIM: Working with AutoCAD and Revit to develop design documents. Interpreting P&IDs: Understanding Piping & Instrument Diagrams using ANSI/ISA S5.1 standards. Understanding Wiring: Working with analog, digital, and relay field wiring for design and troubleshooting. Applying PLC/SCADA Knowledge: Incorporating knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems. Specifying Instruments: Creating ISA datasheets for instrument specifications. Working with Specifications: Reading and writing industrial Statements of Objectives (SOOs).Who You Are: You have an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation. You bring at least 10 years of hands-on I&C Design experience to the table. You are proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. You have a solid understanding of P&IDs and industrial wiring. You have knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems. You have experience specifying instruments and working with industrial specifications.Required Skills: Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation. At Least 10 years of I&C Design Experience. Experience using AutoCAD and Revit. Understand Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID) following ANSI/ISA S5.1 symbology. Understand analog, digital, and relay field wiring and troubleshooting. Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems. Experience specifying instruments and creating ISA datasheets. Experience reading and writing industrial SOO's.Preferred Qualifications: Pressure, temperature, flow, and level installation, calibration, and maintenance experience. Industrial network experience. Experience building industrial control panels. Proficient in using Microsoft Suite (MS Word, Access, Outlook, Excel) and project delivery/schedule management software. Experience in Semi-conductor industrial or general industrial facilities. Experience in various aspects of industrial automation, instrumentation, electrical power, and building automation system design.Compensation & Benefits: Term: This is a contract to direct opportunity. Pay Rate: $43.80 - $76.63 depending on prior experience.
