Sr. Developer Audience Marketing Event Manager
Job ID: 2946180 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.
Are you a seasoned event manager, with experience creating developer activations at large conferences and sharing best practices for how organizations can effectively engage with developer communities at scale? Do you enjoy building in-person experiences that generate excitement with global developer audiences? Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an innovative developer event manager to deliver engaging developer experiences at relevant AWS events and conferences.
This role will sit within our AWS Developer Experience organization. Our goal is to win the hearts and minds of developers around the world by meeting them where they are and providing the right technical education, tools, and resources to enable developer success.
As Sr. Developer Audience Marketing Event Manager, you’ll own the strategy for how we engage with developers at large AWS conferences. You’ll align internal stakeholders to a common vision for supporting best-in-class developer event experiences, and you’ll identify ways to build presence at these events in a way which earns trust with technical communities. You will be responsible for building lasting relationships with internal stakeholders, and leverage those partnerships to deliver engagements across various events.
Key job responsibilities
- Define a global strategy and execution plan for developer experiences at AWS events including AWS re:Invent.
- Deliver a vision for how these developer engagements at events align to business goals while also driving mutual value and earning long-term trust in developer communities.
- Identify key technology trends, and scope how these trends should influence thinking around developer event engagement strategy.
- Establish internal partnerships and mechanisms so stakeholders across multiple organizations can align to a common developer event activation strategy.
- Create mechanisms, maintain playbooks, and act as a consultant to these internal teams who are engaging with developers at events.
- Build and manage processes for analyzing and quantifying the impact (both short and long term) of developer activations/engagements at events.
