The Audio/Visual Engineer will be responsible for driving strategy and delivery of complex A/V and Mass Communication projects. This person will be working closely with Customers and sales personnel, to ensure design and delivery of a secure, compliant and stable A/V platform
Essential Functions
- Programming & Integration: Develop and implement control system programming for AV equipment, ensuring seamless integration and automation.
- System Optimization: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, enhancing system performance and reliability.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and project teams to design customized AV solutions that meet specific needs.
- Documentation & Training: Create comprehensive system documentation and provide training to end-users for optimal system utilization.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in programming platforms such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, and Q-SYS.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years in AV programming or system integration.
- Certifications: Industry certifications like Crestron Certified Programmer, AMX ACE, Extron Certified, or Q-SYS Level 1 & 2 are highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of IT networking and security principles.
- Familiarity with cloud-based AV solutions and remote monitoring tools.
This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
Work Environment
This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
