Job Overview:

A Graphics Operator in the TV Production Department at JTV works as part of our 24/7 live production environment. This role requires a strong multi-tasker with strong communication & organization skills, a keen ability to react quickly in an ever-changing environment, and a sense of rhythm of the sales presentation. The Graphics Operator must have solid technical skills with operating various Graphics Systems, Cameras, and Video Servers, as well as excellent dependability and a willingness to adapt to the needs of the live show.

Day in the Life:

1. Execute live show content in real time as determined by the Producer & Director during the live show, adjusting when necessary.
2. Complete pre-production tasks for assigned show blocks and build any necessary show & product descriptions for live show.
3. Operate multi-cam set-up in the studio – both manual and robotic cams.
4. Operate Video Server systems for recalling, playing out and organizing content and support materials to support sales.
5. Manage Audio for live, dual-host on-air presentations, mixing in pre-recorded video and audio clips.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

9. Strong fundamental knowledge of graphics operations.
10. Can type 40+ words a minute.
11. Lifting, pulling, or pushing items over 25 lbs.
12. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.

Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience in TV/Film Production with 1-2 years of live television production experience. Experience with robotic cameras and remote camera controllers, HDCamera operations (including Focus Assist and Detailing), Video Server systems, and basic studio lighting.
