Outside Sales Representative – Pro Audio & MI (Mid-Atlantic Region, Independent Contractor)

Streetwise Sales is looking for an independent sales representative to develop and grow a dealer network in the Mid-Atlantic region.

This is a sales-focused role with commission potential and incentives for opening new accounts.

As an independent contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule while working to open new accounts, grow existing dealer relationships, and increase sales in your territory.

This is a great opportunity for someone with industry experience in pro audio, MI, or live production who wants a flexible sales role with strong earning potential.

In-store merchandising & product training

We represent some of the most recognized brands in the industry and are actively growing our presence in PA, MD, VA, DC, DE, and NJ.

What You’ll Do

Develop and expand a network of MI and pro audio dealers – Work with music stores, online resellers, AV contractors, and rental houses.

Call on 15 stores per month – 5 Guitar Center locations for merchandising/training and 10 independent dealers.

Grow sales with existing accounts – Provide training, merchandising support, and sales strategy guidance.

Develop new business – Cold call and email MI retailers, AV contractors, and rental companies to open new accounts.

Conduct in-store product training & merchandising – Help dealers understand product benefits and improve sell-through.

Track sales activity in the CRM – Monitor dealer growth and identify opportunities for expansion.

Who You Are

Experienced in sales – Background in musical instruments, pro audio, or DJ gear sales required..

Not afraid to pick up the phone and close deals – Sales-focused mindset required.

Gear-savvy – You understand guitars, synths, keyboards, drums, live sound, lighting, and recording equipment.

Organized and self-motivated – You manage your own schedule and sales pipeline.

Willing to travel regionally – Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (expenses not reimbursed).
