Christian Purpose And Expectations

The Technical Services department supports all Cove events with state-of-the-art audio and video equipment, mixing music, recording live sound, shooting multi-camera productions, and providing graphics to communicate the gospel effectively.
Job Summary
The Audio & Video Technician combines technical expertise with hospitality, creativity, and attention to detail to deliver excellent audio and visual experiences. This role involves creating and delivering content for live sessions, recordings, and supporting maintenance and management of equipment throughout the property.
Ministry Requirements
- Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
- Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer.
- Participates in daily staff devotions, Bible reading, and group prayer as schedule permits.
- Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, and policies.
- Effectively represents Jesus Christ within personal and professional spheres.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with staff, speakers, artists, and other professionals involved in production while managing time and schedules.
- Configure video systems, set up sound systems, mix live performances, and ensure sound quality during events.
- Work closely with speakers and performers to meet audio and video requirements.
- Record sound during live events, monitor levels, and edit audio tracks post-recording.
- Maintain and troubleshoot audio/video equipment, and assist with inventory and installation of new equipment.
Physical/Mental Demands
- Requires good physical condition, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and excellent vision and hearing.
- Ability to work non-regular hours, including nights and weekends.
Working Conditions
- Extended hours in a conference center and office environment, including long days and weekends.
