LOCATION: Lakeshore College - Cleveland, Wisconsin
POSITION SUMMARY: The position reports to the Library/Academic Support Manager; primary duties at the Lakeshore library desk. Responsible for providing a variety of clerical, promotional, and support services as well as excellent customer service in person, by phone, and via email. The Student Resource Center includes the Welcome Center, Library, Academic Success and Tutoring, Career and Employment Services, and Student Life. This position is also responsible for providing essential support in college recruitment by conducting campus tours and preparing for student visits. Provide an exceptional customer service experience to both internal and external customers throughout every interaction.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Guide prospective students, families, and other visitors through the campus while offering insightful information about campus facilities, programs, and support services.
- Assist in preparing for and actively participating in college events, helping to support tours of program areas and student life experiences.
- Assist customers at the Library desk.
- Materials maintenance: check-in/check-out, reshelve, shelf read, shift, weed, catalog, process interlibrary loan.
- Create promotional material, PowerPoint slides, signage, book displays, and student newsletter articles.
- Assist students with basic computer support; demonstrate use of Blackboard, Office 365, Navigate, and MyLakeshore.
- Type/create/update various administrative projects.
- Assist with digitizing archive materials.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be enrolled in a program pursuing a minimum of six credits per semester

- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work environment may require multi-tasking.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Employment conditional on completion of a Background Information Disclosure (BID) with the results acceptable to the College.
- Student success always comes first and it is expected that the student maintains average grades while employed. Failure to do so may result in their student help position being discontinued.
- Students must be active and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits per semester and/or enrolled in an academic program.
