FT Librarian 1 Position - Hunterdon County Library Makerspace

POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a passionate and talented Makerspace Librarian to join our team full time, 35 hours/week. This position offers a unique hands-on experience in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced makerspace team to support and contribute to various projects and activities within the makerspace, including teaching classes, supporting open hours, maintaining equipment, and assisting residents with their projects.

The Hunterdon County Library Makerspace is dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe space for community members of all backgrounds to connect, discover, build, and create through hands-on experimentation and exploration. Our state-of-the-art makerspace is equipped with a laser cutter, direct-to-garment printer, sublimation printer, vacuum former, SLA resin printer, carbon fiber printer, kiln, pottery wheel, audiovisual equipment, long-arm quilter, serger, sewing machines, embroidery machines, soldering tools, and woodworking tools.

• A Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences from an ALA-accredited program or a New Jersey college Master's program deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College.
• Applicant must comply with the “NJ First Act”.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license may be required; initial appointment provisional pending Civil Service procedures.
• 35 hours/week, including some nights and weekends.

Salary will be determined based on the “Good Faith” estimate, range, or rate of pay.
