TASB offers competitive pay, rich benefits (including retirement matching of 2:1 up to 5% after one year. About You
As a mid-level UI Developer, you’re passionate about UI development, application configuration, and delivering quality, intuitive, and accessible front-end solutions through strong execution and collaboration. You’ll be responsible for building and enhancing TASB’s suite of websites and applications, working closely with teams across the organization, including Data, IT, and Communications & Marketing. You’ll ensure an excellent digital experience for our members through consistency in interface design and code quality across TASB’s digital platforms.
A Typical Day
Working in two-week sprints to support and evolve our websites and digital platforms. Participating in peer code reviews and implementing feedback to ensure consistency and code quality. Collaborating with cross-functional teams on enterprise-wide projects that enhance our web interfaces and digital platforms. If you’re still reading, we’d love to meet you!
How You’ll Make An Impact
Build and maintain user-friendly, responsive, and accessible web interfaces for TASB’s digital platforms. Translate UX/UI designs and prototypes into high-quality code using modern front-end technologies. Contribute to the internal design system and reusable component library. Ensure websites are optimized for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. Participate in peer code reviews and implement feedback to ensure consistency and code quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX, content, back-end developers, project managers, and other internal stakeholders such as IT, Data, and Communications & Marketing to ensure alignment and successful execution. Assist in requirements gathering and provide input on technical feasibility of proposed UI designs. Follow proper SDLC and deployment processes in coordination with the broader development team. Implement best practices for ADA accessibility compliance (WCAG). Stay current with industry trends and front-end technologies. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Assess project needs and identify timely, practical solutions in collaboration with team members.
Skills for Success:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience. 3+ years of experience in front-end/UI development. Experience with responsive design and cross-device compatibility. Experience using Node Package Manager tools (npm or Yarn) for managing front-end dependencies.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with C#/.NET development and ASP.NET Razor Pages. Familiarity with Azure services and deployment processes. Experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. Familiarity with Kontent.ai or other headless CMS platforms. Understanding of modern .NET application design patterns. Exposure to templating languages (e.g., Handlebars, PUG).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong skills in HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript. Proficiency in client-side JS frameworks (acceptable)Vue preferred, React or Angular. Familiarity with consuming APIs and working with structured content. Hands-on experience with Git version control and branching strategies (GitFlow or similar). Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows (Azure DevOps or GitHub) for automated testing and deployment. Understanding of Agile development practices and working in sprints or iterative cycles. Solid foundation in modern UI development principles and front-end architecture. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Critical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail.
