Position: Television Video Editor and Motion Designer

Overview
As a Television Video Editor and Motion Designer, this position is responsible for the full spectrum of TV production, including studio videography, post-production editing, and dynamic motion graphics design. The ideal candidate not only brings technical skill in video and graphic design but also has a sharp eye for composition, pacing, and visual storytelling. You have an innate sense of what looks good on screen—how design, movement, and tone come together to create polished, compelling content. This role thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment and contributes to the creation of long-format TV shows, impactful interview segments, and high-performing broadcast commercials, all tailored for financial professionals nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce motion graphics packages and set visuals for TV shows and commercial productions.
- Edit engaging video content using raw footage, audio, still photography, custom graphics, and music selection.
- Operate multi-camera setups during studio shoots with financial advisors.
- Maintain and adjust studio lighting, audio equipment, and set studio arrangements for optimal visual and sound quality.
- Participate in pre-production planning and post-project reviews.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on deadline for TV broadcast.
- Stay updated on industry trends in broadcast video, design, and production tools to elevate our creative output.
- Support occasional special projects or marketing initiatives as assigned by leadership.
- 1–5 years of experience in video production and editing.
- A portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates storytelling through editing, design, and motion graphics.
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and After Effects for motion graphics creation.
- Working knowledge of file formats, media conversions, and TV broadcast standards.
- Strong graphic design fundamentals; experience with brand consistency across visual mediums.
- Excellent time management and ability to multitask across numerous projects and deadlines.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset and eagerness to deliver high-quality service to advisors and colleagues
- Prior experience in a fast-paced studio or live production environment.
- Background in broadcast or news editing is a plus.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
