Overview: Pave Studios is seeking a passionate strategic and creative Community Coordinator to develop and implement community engagement strategies across our Crime House and OpenMind brands. You’ll manage and grow our community presence across social media, including YouTube, Spotify, and Reddit. You’ll be an advocate for our fans across our true crime and curiosity shows.
This role is ideal for someone who is deeply immersed in internet culture, fluent in platform-specific trends, and genuinely excited to connect with audiences. You’re comfortable representing a brand, responding to comments, starting conversations, and helping turn casual listeners and viewers into loyal fans.
Essential Functions: Community Strategy Develop community engagement strategies that align with PAVE Studio’s goals and objectives. Analyze community metrics and trends to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with internal teams such as production, marketing, and social media to ensure consistent messaging and support for company initiatives. Cultivate relationships with community members and influencers to foster loyalty and advocacy. Manage and update content on the PAVE Studios website.
Social Media Engagement Promptly respond to mentions, messages, and comments across PAVE Studios, Crime House, and OpenMind social media channels. Monitor social media communities and platforms such as Reddit for discussions and trends and participate in relevant conversations.
Community Moderation
Participate and moderate virtual live events, YouTube Premieres, and to connect with Crime House’s and OpenMind’s audience. Monitor and flag sensitive or concerning content across social media, YouTube, and Spotify comments to maintain a positive community environment.
Platform Community Support Promptly engage and respond to comments for Crime House and OpenMind shows on YouTube and Spotify. Gather and analyze feedback from YouTube and Spotify comments to inform production and marketing. Post promotional video clips and utilize various creator tools such as polls on Spotify. Optimize content for searchability using relevant keywords, SEO, and hashtags.
Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 2-4 years of experience in community management, social media, or a similar role. Communications, social media, or community background strongly preferred. Strong understanding of online platforms and social media tools. Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. Deep interest in true crime, astrology, and wellness content. Both strategic and creative. Knowledge of SEO and content marketing. Experience moderating live events. Proactive with strong editorial judgment and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced start up environment. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of SEO and content marketing.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications Experience as a community manager or a similar role, with 2-5 years in community management or social media. Strong understanding of online platforms and social media tools. Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills. Ability to be creative and strategic. Proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced start up environment. Experience organizing and managing online and in person events. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of SEO and content marketing.
Physical and Mental Demands: Comfortable working under tight deadlines and breaking news cycles Capacity to work with sensitive subject matter including graphic or traumatic cases Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles, in a fast-paced production studio Flexibility for early mornings, evenings, or weekend coverage as needed Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 pounds in a safe and prudent manner Ability to work and communicate well with other employees, management, individuals well-known to the public, creators, and studios Ability to perform work utilizing manual dexterity of the hands Ability to reach above and below shoulders, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, climb, kneel, push and/or pull, and twist Ability to read, write, and understand English
