Responsibilities
- Preparing K-12, Higher Education, and Commercial project specifications from firm master specifications.
- Conducting product research and evaluation.
- Providing technical design assistance.
- Supporting construction contract administration for the design studio staff.
- Mentoring technical staff within the design studio.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently.
- Meticulous with exceptional judgment; capable of clearly and concisely communicating qualitative requirements for materials, products, systems, and workmanship.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in the design and construction industry.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Specifications Writer.
- Experience writing specifications for K-12 Education projects is highly preferred.
- Experience with Deltek (formerly ARCOM) MasterSpec editing tools is preferred.
- Licenses such as Architect, CSI CCS, or CSI CCCA are desirable.
