Role Description: AV Technician – High-End Residential Systems

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AV Technician to join our growing team, specializing in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of high-end audio-visual systems in luxury residential environments. This position is based in the New York City Metropolitan Area, with a strong focus on Long Island (Five Towns) and Brooklyn. As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional technical work and customer service, working with systems including dedicated home theaters, centralized and wireless lighting, motorized shading, and advanced home automation platforms such as Crestron. You should be comfortable working with power and hand tools, and capable of performing precise installations and wiring terminations for audio, video, and control cabling.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, who can work independently or collaboratively as part of a team. A professional demeanor and the ability to maintain a neat, polished appearance are essential, as the role involves working directly in high-end client homes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot residential AV, lighting, shading, and automation systems
• Terminate and manage audio, video, and control wiring with attention to detail
• Interface with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project execution
• Maintain professionalism and cleanliness while working on-site
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support
• Lift and carry equipment (up to 25 pounds) as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience with Audio Visual (AV) systems
• Familiarity with centralized and wireless lighting systems
• Knowledge of motorized shading solutions
• Strong understanding of networking and home automation (Crestron experience preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with power and hand tools
• Relevant technical certifications or training (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Clean and professional appearance
