Overview
Senior Design Architect Grand Rapids firm is seeking a versatile licensed architect (preferred) or architectural designer for a senior project designer role. The candidate should have at least 10 years of architectural experience, with a strong background in commercial projects across multiple sectors. Residential experience is a bonus. The role involves leading design efforts and assisting with technical documentation.
Responsibilities: Lead design from project inception through development, including pre-design and conceptual phases.
Establish and potentially lead the firm's design standards and protocols.
Oversee design through all project phases: pre-design, schematic, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.
Communicate with clients, understanding and articulating their vision and needs.
Manage communication tools such as graphics, modeling, and marketing materials.
Qualifications: Master of Architecture degree.
Registered architect (preferred).
10+ years of relevant experience.
Exceptional design and conceptual skills.
Proficiency in SketchUp and Revit.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Alignment with the firm's mission and values.
Ability to build relationships and foster partnerships.
Continuous learner with awareness of industry innovations.
