IT Designer II / Designer, Senior | IT Communication Infrastructure Engineering
What your day would be like:
You’ll be hands-on in designing and enhancing critical IT and OT infrastructure that supports field operations across the organization. Each day, you’ll develop new system components, improve existing designs, and collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient communication networks and technologies.
You are responsible for:
- Designing new components or portions of IT and OT systems based on project requirements.
- Modifying and improving existing designs to enhance system performance and support evolving operational needs.
- Collaborating with field service and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and field-ready.
- Supporting documentation, drawings, and specifications needed for construction and field deployment.
- Identifying opportunities to innovate and streamline communication infrastructure designs.

Minimum Requirements
IT Designer II | IT Communication Infrastructure Engineering
- Associates Degree and/or Technical Degree
- Two (2) years of prior relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Basic knowledge of related IT systems and procedures
IT Designer II / Designer, Senior | IT Communication Infrastructure Engineering
- Associates Degree and/or Technical Degree
- Four (4) years of prior relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
- Considerable knowledge of related IT systems and procedures
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Meridian Document Repository
- Ability to explain complex technical processes simply
- Strong coordination and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Understanding of drafting principles, standards, and symbols
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings
- Effective communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Organizational skills for managing files and documentation
- Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and construction processes
- Relevant industry experience (e.g., architecture, civil or mechanical engineering) preferred
Major Accountabilities
- Develop design drawings per engineering sketches and specifications.
- Utilize CAD and other graphic tools for design work.
- Gather information, conduct studies, and prepare sketches for proposals.
- Coordinate design criteria with various groups for manufacturability and compliance.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work with engineers and architects to understand project needs.
- Interpret project documents and update drawings accordingly.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
- Manage and organize drawing files.
- Participate in project meetings.
- Create 2D models for visualization where applicable.
