Overview
Under moderate supervision, provides expertise at the enterprise level related to large datasets (including disparate data), enterprise analytics, statistical modeling, and AI/ML initiatives. Utilizes expert knowledge of customer, consumer, economic, external demand, market, competition data (structured and unstructured), and internal business processes to develop analytical solutions for well-defined, lower-complexity business problems. Develops and implements solutions from initial concept to fully tested production, communicating results to diverse audiences. Provides thought leadership and leads cross-functional teams in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive modeling, advanced statistical analysis, and other quantitative analyses of complex business scenarios. Uses current and emerging technologies to evaluate trends, develop insights, and make actionable recommendations to business partners and management. Employs data, statistical, and quantitative analysis, explanatory and high-complexity predictive modeling, and fact-based management to inform decision-making. Leads cross-functional projects and programs, prepares and presents findings to management, and regularly consults with leadership. Manages multiple assignments concurrently and mentors less experienced staff. Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree in data science, analytics, business, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or operations research. Experience:
At least 2 years in an analytical, quantitative, or technical role in business, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or operations research. Additionally, 1 year of experience or coursework in decision support tools, analytical/modeling languages (Python, R, SAS, SQL), and data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Advanced degrees may offset experience requirements. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with analytics, machine learning, and deep learning on Azure or other cloud platforms, especially in time series forecasting, customer analytics, market analysis, leveraging Python, SQL, or PySpark. Knowledge of Data Engineering, Cloud Platforms, and MLOps to facilitate communication across multi-functional teams. Additional Information
This is a hybrid position based in Memphis, TN, and Plano, TX. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius and work at FedEx campuses several times per week.
