About Our Team
The Lenovo Design + Innovation team is a global group of highly skilled and talented people doing what we love, designing the very best world-class products. You will be an integral part of the team, working across continents and cultures in a friendly, fast-paced, and inspiring environment. We are looking to add a Senior User Experience Designer to our team to help visualize and craft the future of hardware and software at Lenovo with new AI innovations. This role fits if you’re passionate, optimistic, and an excellent collaborator. You’ll report to our Executive Director of the Lenovo Experience Design Group, working closely with our Strategic Design, User Experience, Software, and Engineering teams to build the foundation for Lenovo’s future device interactions.
Core Responsibilities
- Craft compelling design stories to communicate the vision, inspire others, and influence our design direction for AI products across software and hardware.
- Visualize the future of software and hardware interactions, develop and communicate strategies with key checkpoints and goals.
- Communicate user interactions through storyboards, sketches, wireframes, flow diagrams, mockups, and prototypes.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to create harmonious software and hardware solutions, from concept to execution.
- Work with research teams to understand customer needs and incorporate user feedback into future concepts.
- Build relationships and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technological developments, especially regarding AI and its impact on technology and human interaction.
Basic Qualifications
- Strong UX/UI portfolio demonstrating hardware and software interaction designs, product concepts, mockups, and prototypes for market products.
- 7+ years of experience in Software UX/UI and/or Hardware Design for consumer electronics.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial design, User Experience, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or relevant fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in innovation concept and design for market-ready products.
- Experience with both software and hardware design for consumer electronics.
- Familiarity with technical constraints on platforms like desktop and mobile (Windows & Android).
- Experience with JavaScript, Angular, or React.
- Proficiency in Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma, Azure, XD.
- Experience presenting to executive stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to visualize and articulate complex concepts.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with partners.
