We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our leadership team as
the Director of Strategic Internal Communications . In this role, you will help shape our internal communication strategy to align with the company's values, goals, and overall vision while fostering an engaged and informed workforce.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the Director of Strategic Internal Communications will play a key leadership role in developing and executing a comprehensive internal communications strategy that enhances engagement, drives organizational alignment, and promotes a culture of transparency and trust across the company and dealer network. This position will work closely with senior leadership, HR, and key business functions to ensure all of our employees are informed, motivated, and equipped with the information they need to succeed in their roles.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and Lead Communication Strategy : Create and implement a cohesive internal communications strategy that supports organizational objectives, promotes company culture, and drives employee engagement. Leadership Collaboration : Partner with senior leadership, HR, and department heads to ensure alignment on messaging and that key initiatives and changes are communicated clearly to all levels of the organization. Employee Engagement : Design and execute communication campaigns that engage employees, foster collaboration, and encourage feedback. Facilitate an open, two-way communication channel between leadership and employees. Content Creation and Oversight : Oversee the creation and delivery of all internal communications, including newsletters, emails, intranet content, presentations, and town hall meetings and all other platforms of which internal information is shared. Crisis Communications : Lead internal communication efforts in response to organizational changes, crises, or other high-impact events, ensuring clarity and consistency of messaging. Change Management : Support organizational change initiatives by developing targeted communication plans to facilitate smooth transitions and minimize resistance. Measurement and Analytics : Monitor the effectiveness of internal communications strategies through surveys, feedback, and other metrics, using data to refine and improve communications efforts. Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a team of communication professionals, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and career growth. Brand Ambassadorship : Serve as a champion for the company's culture, values, and mission in all internal communications, ensuring consistency with the broader corporate brands. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. 8+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related leadership role, with a proven track record of driving strategic communication initiatives within large, complex organizations. Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences and channels. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience in developing and implementing internal communication strategies in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred. Knowledge of change management principles and the ability to manage communications during periods of organizational change. Ability to analyze data and use insights to optimize communication strategies and tactics. Proficiency with communication tools, including intranet platforms, collaboration tools, and content management systems. Skills and Attributes:
