Job Summary:
Supports management in directing and coordinating activities of the department and employees by performing the following duties:
Major Responsibilities:
- Plans and delegates work tasks. Assigns work among qualified team members. Communicates performance expectations to ensure proper task completion; provides feedback for recognition and improvement.
- Reinforces safety guidelines and reports non-compliance. Monitors employee productivity, work habits, and the care, condition, and storage of tools and equipment. Maintains inventories and ensures compliance with policies.
- Ensures proper documentation using tools like the Lead Observation Report to support managerial records.
- Coordinates with other departments and communicates resource needs and work plans with supervision. Facilitates communication between team, supervisor, and HR.
- Performs duties as outlined in the non-lead job description. Shares knowledge and assists in employee development.
- Assists with training new and current employees, assigning trainers as needed.
- Participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following UO policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required; Electronic or electrical degree preferred.
- Two-year college or technical school education is a plus.
Experience:
- Six months to one year of experience in providing work direction preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience with audio and visual equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of audio and video theory and practical experience required.
- Advanced skills in setup and maintenance of A/V systems are preferred.
- Formal electronics training or at least 5 years’ experience in A/V system design, installation, or maintenance is preferred.
- Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required to operate company vehicles.
