Overview
Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Splunk Engineer to support a government contract.
Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains advanced visualizations, dashboards, and reports using Splunk Best Practices.
- Develops custom Splunk apps for various domains including IT security, IT operations, physical security, research, scientific, medical, and clinical care.
- Utilizes scripting languages (Python preferred, JavaScript, Shell, PowerShell) to support Splunk deployments.
- Analyzes large data sets to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies; skilled in Regular Expressions for data parsing.
- Monitors log ingestion and data feed health.
- Uses Gitlab, CI/CD pipelines for content management.
- Creates dashboards, reports, and knowledge objects as an SPL developer.
- Prepares framework design and testing documentation.
- Deploys Use Cases into production for operations and business processes.
- Implements integrations with external systems.
- Familiar with DevOps practices and content promotion pipelines.
- Bonus: Experience with SDLC processes for content development.
Qualifications
- Experience with large, complex federal Splunk deployments and CDM deployments.
- Supports federal agency compliance with OMB M-21-31.
- Ability to adapt in fast-paced, changing environments.
- Proactive change agent, willing to challenge the status quo.
- Strong communication skills to influence and communicate effectively.
- Handles stressful situations with calm and effectiveness.
Salary: $150,000 - $185,000
