Job Description
- Identify problems and solve them through design. Utilize design thinking, user research, and business strategy to identify unmet needs or untapped opportunities—and convert them into strategic visions for clients and internal teams.
- Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.
- Design for a wide variety of mediums, including mobile apps, websites, digital/physical interactions, and whatever it takes to create a great solution.
- Help to plan and facilitate collaborative work sessions.
- Conduct design research such as user interviews, competitive and heuristic analysis.
- Visualize your research by creating customer journeys, personas, and user scenarios.
- Generate innovative ideas for solving challenges and visualize them by creating user flows, wireframes, comps, annotations, and prototypes.
- Work closely and collaborate with strategy and technology teams.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and visual communication and presentation skills and articulate a point of view.
- Incorporate a visual or brand identity into the finished product.
- Work on an innovative project to develop the next generation of portfolio analytics web application
- Work with technologists, UI/UX engineers, researchers to architect and build mobile-responsive web applications that are highly scalable, secure, and compatible with modern browsers (IE/Edge/Chrome/Firefox/Safari).
- Working in a complex, cross-functional organization.
- Industry-standard design tools, including Figma for component, style, layer management, and creating scalable design systems.
- Staying abreast of and adopting emerging tools and technologies.
- Creation of wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
- Designing and shipping complex data visualization and analytics tools for enterprise and financial services industries.
- Conducting user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Analyzing research findings and translate them into actionable design insights and recommendations.
- Strategic design and problem-solving ability amidst complex challenges
- Financial concepts, asset management, and investment strategies.
- Working with executive leaders.
- Applying skills in user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Translating complex data and workflows into intuitive and user-friendly designs.
- Demonstrating proficiency in visual design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout composition.
- Utilizing: Figma, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
- Working in an Agile Environment
- In the alternative, employer will accept 10 years of experience in UX/Product Designer positions performing/utilizing the aforementioned.
- Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Invesco offices in Boston, MA. Must be available to travel to Boston, MA regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice.
