The
Structural Packaging Designer
will reimagine and redesign all aspects of our consumer-facing packaging, including supplement bottles, product containers, shipping vessels, sample packs, and direct mail materials. This role will collaborate closely with the design team to develop creative concepts and work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and product development to create sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging solutions.
Additionally, this role will oversee project deliverables, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with our brand strategy, delivering a high-quality customer experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO (ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES) Foster a positive, collaborative, and success-oriented work environment within the Creative Department and the company. Maintain strong relationships with packaging manufacturers and industry brokers. Coordinate package development, including features, benefits, storage, shipping, and handling, ensuring full regulatory compliance and clear communication with internal teams and customers. Ensure package design aligns with customer insights and needs. Collaborate with various teams to integrate new and updated packaging into production systems. Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities for packaging materials and processes. Analyze product cost variances and their impact on key financial metrics and decisions. Stay informed on packaging trends, processes, and equipment through trade journals, professional meetings, expos, and industry events. Support additional assignments and tasks as needed. WHO YOU ARE (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS)
Bachelor's degree
in industrial design or engineering preferred, with strong graphic sensibilities. Minimum 5 years
of progressive leadership experience in packaging sourcing and design, ideally within
CPG segments
such as functional foods, nutritional supplements, nutraceuticals, and other health-focused products. Proficient in
CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD, or similar) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). Expertise in
packaging engineering, design, material handling, root cause analysis, fabrication, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of
FTC, FDA, and other regulatory requirements for packaging design, layout, and messaging. Deep understanding of
production cost models, designing to meet target pricing and margins, and defining capital equipment needs to commercialize new products while justifying expenditures. Insightful understanding of
consumer preferences and market packaging trends. Proactively identify and resolve
packaging challenges, drive innovation, optimize processes, and implement cost-saving, environmentally responsible solutions. Creative and articulate , capable of collaborating with ProCaps' founder and departmental leaders throughout the design process. Highly motivated
with exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Lead initiatives to
reduce material usage and incorporate recycled content in food-contact packaging. Collaborate with
Quality, Production, and Procurement to investigate packaging component issues, documenting findings in CAPAs, NCRs, and quality reports. Support all efforts
to achieve creative and marketing objectives, assisting in new product launches and cost-reduction initiatives. WHAT WE OFFER
