Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented Technical Writer to develop, edit, and manage technical documentation for engineering projects. This role includes a focus on reviewing and editing specification documents, investigative reports, technical articles, and technical submittals, ensuring consistency and coherency. The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and subject matter experts to create high-quality materials for various audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, write, and edit technical documents, including user manuals, reports, installation guides, specifications, and technical articles.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to collect input and verify information for documentation.
- Edits and formats content written by others, ensuring consistency in writing style and approach throughout various documents.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company standards and client requirements.
- Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in products, processes, or technologies.
- Review and proofread materials for grammar, style, and technical accuracy.
- Work with engineers on development of technical articles, showcasing advancements and innovations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Communications, English or an appropriate discipline with an emphasis on technical communication.
- Proven experience editing technical content for Architecture, Engineering, and/or Construction industry.
- Ability to understand technical principles and terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in technical and common office software such as Microsoft Office Tools and Microsoft Teams.
- Experience with content management systems and version control is a plus.
