The Mobilization Department seeks a Digital Advertising Strategist to join the record-breaking DNC advertising program. You’ll work within the fast-paced, highly collaborative Grassroots Fundraising Team to produce, build, and optimize ad campaigns on platforms like Meta, Google Search, and more to mobilize grassroots supporters to donate and help elect Democrats nationwide.
Responsibilities:
- Develop ad campaigns from start to finish: conceptualize new ad ideas, write engaging copy, build landing pages, and collaborate with design and video teams to produce compelling graphics and videos that inspire donors to take action.
- Become an expert on ad buying across multiple digital platforms: traffic and QA ads, analyze data in real-time, and make daily adjustments to ensure strong performance.
- Use performance data from the Analytics team to identify fundraising insights and iterate on successful ad content.
- Write scripts for direct-to-camera videos for various voices and audiences.
- Navigate complex approval processes for campaigns.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads Manager, or ability to quickly learn digital platforms and deliver results.
- Strong skills in conceptualizing or designing eye-catching graphics that motivate action.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data organization and analysis.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and organized, capable of catching errors and maintaining timelines.
- Excellent persuasive, authentic, and concise writing skills, adaptable to different audiences and goals.
- Clear and prompt communication skills.
- Open to feedback, adaptable, positive, accountable, and proactive.
- Collaborative mindset, comfortable partnering across teams on complex projects.
- Willing to relocate to D.C. and work in person most days.
- Available to work late evenings, weekends, and respond rapidly when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with digital advertising and fundraising.
- Experience working on campaigns, or at political, advocacy, or non-profit organizations.
Salary: Starting at $52,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Full-time, non-exempt position eligible for overtime. Part of SEIU Local-500 bargaining unit.
