Ottawa St, Lansing, MI, 48933, UNITED STATES Years of Experience: 6+ years Notice: Immediate to 15 days W2 Rate: $40.00/hr C2C Rate: $50.00/hr Interview Type: Webcam and In-Person Work Arrangements: Hybrid - 2 days a week Must-have Experience: WCAG & ADA Testing Full Job Description Top Skills & Experience: 3+ years in UI design 3+ years in user research Education or certification in graphic design, interaction design, visual communication, or related field Experience designing to a set of design standards (preferable) Experience designing to accessibility standards (WCAG) (preferred) Experience performing usability and ADA testing (preferred) Responsibilities Understand project scope and collaborate with the team to ensure requirements, functionality, and usability are met within project objectives. Adhere to project schedule, analyze existing business processes, and develop UI/UX designs accordingly. Work with UAT testers and conduct usability testing to ensure conformance with UI/UX best practices. Resolve critical UI/UX issues effectively. Participate in requirement gathering and brainstorming sessions with business owners. Conduct user interviews, research, and testing; develop personas, user flows, and storyboards as needed. Lead design meetings during development phases. Analyze user flows, pain points, and desires to deliver optimal solutions. Lead visual design, usability, and accessibility efforts; provide expertise on design patterns and testing. Advocate for end users to enhance design and usability within budget constraints. Create sketches, wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes adhering to standards and ADA requirements. Review wireframes for requirements and technical feasibility. Support development team with UI/UX best practices and ADA vulnerability remediation. Ensure conformance to standards and perform accessibility testing. Facilitate usability tests and iterate designs based on feedback. Advise developers on accessibility and vulnerability issues. Coordinate with DTMB Center for Shared Solutions (CSS) eMichigan team.
