Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience with front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
- Experience with Android UI prototyping or development.
- Experience with Android Compose.
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience developing native, clean, and compatible Android applications.
- 3 years of experience as a front-end developer, UX Engineer, creative or design technologist, or in a prototyping design environment.
- Experience with XR software development using unity/unreal or other engines.
- Experience with the Jetpack support libraries, including Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with material design standards and best practices.
- Experience with motion frameworks, such as Lottie.

As a UX Engineer, you'll work as part of a UX team in a challenging, fast-paced environment. You’ll demonstrate creativity, analytical skills, and knowledge of user-facing technologies to create prototypes, identify the best product experiences, launch innovative features, build tools that accelerate UX teams, bridge design and engineering discussions, and enable high-quality execution.
The Android XR UX Design team develops technologies for the next generation of immersive experiences and devices.

Android aims to bring computing to everyone, enabling access to information, economic opportunities, productivity, connectivity, and more. We provide a platform for OEMs and developers to build compelling devices (smartphones, tablets, TVs, wearables, etc.) that run top apps and services for all.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000–$185,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay within the range depends on work location, skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can share more during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
- Manage multiple project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with UX designers and researchers, synthesizing feedback.
- Work with engineers on final implementation and polishing.
- Ensure high accessibility standards.
- Mentor early-career UX engineers and peers.
