V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a UI/UX Designer II for our premier client in Madison, Wisconsin.
Education And Experience »
Top Required Skills & Years of Experience:
- Experience as a lead designer in a development project, preferably involving modernization of technology, as well as working with a cross-functional team to redesign and simplify UX and workflows to meet modern application design standards, using a material design library and component framework, such as MudBlazor - 2 years experience.
- Experience creating wireframes/prototypes and iterating over them with cross-functional stakeholders - 4 years experience.
- Experience creating personas and testing designs against the personas - 4 years experience.
- Knowledgeable of modern code implementations, US web design standards, and product strategy - 4 years experience.
- Experience working within Agile principles and processes - 2 years.
- Experience using MudBlazor material design library - 1 year.
- Experience training software developers and business analysts on UX principles and best practices - 2 years.
- Previous experience providing this service for government a plus, and experience with DWD's environments will be especially valuable.
- Lead UX Design for Modernization Projects: Proven ability to lead design efforts in large-scale technology modernization, simplifying complex workflows and creating intuitive user experiences using material design systems like MudBlazor.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Expertise in creating and iterating wireframes and interactive prototypes in collaboration with cross-functional teams to validate and refine design solutions.
- Persona Development & Usability Testing: Skilled in developing user personas and conducting usability research to ensure designs meet real user needs and improve system effectiveness.
- Modern Web & Accessibility Standards: Strong knowledge of U.S. Web Design Standards, modern front-end technologies, accessibility compliance (WCAG/Section 508), and responsive UI design principles.
- Agile UX Delivery: Experience working in Agile development environments, delivering design work in iterative cycles aligned with sprint goals and development timelines.
- Component-Based Design with MudBlazor: Hands-on experience using the MudBlazor material design library to build consistent, modern interfaces in Blazor applications.
- UX Training & Team Collaboration: Provided guidance and training on UX best practices to developers and business analysts, fostering a user-centered design culture.
- Government and Case Management Systems Experience: Familiarity with government digital services, especially case management systems, with an understanding of public-sector constraints and user needs.
