Glitch Productions is an independent animation studio based in Parramatta CBD. Our YouTube channels, SMG4 and Glitch Productions, have over 13 million subscribers and more than 4 billion views. Our studio is filled with passionate, young artists committed to innovating internet animation. We have collaborated with entities like Screen Australia and Epic Games, and continue to grow by delivering engaging content to our fans.
Role Information
We seek a skilled Senior 3D Layout artist to handle cinematography, choreography, and previs for our shows. You will collaborate with other layout artists on projects such as Gaslight District and the Amazing Digital Circus, under the guidance of the director/showrunner. Your tasks will include posing, staging, and choreographing characters, as well as positioning, composing, and animating cameras based on scripts and directives.
The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Experience in Previs and/or Layout in animation
- Skills in filmmaking and visual storytelling, including composition, staging, and shot rhythm
- Knowledge of cameras, lenses, editing, and film language
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Maya
- Understanding of character animation principles
- Self-motivated with problem-solving skills
- Excellent organization and adherence to schedules
- Good communication skills and work ethic
- Experience mentoring junior artists
Bonus Skills
- Experience with action choreography
- Experience with physical cameras
- Experience with Unreal Engine
- Experience with Houdini
- Experience in 2D animation pipelines
