Contract Duration: 9 Months
Pay Range: $35 - $40/hr
Work Type: Hybrid - 2 days remote
Location: Boston, MA
Position
Our client is looking for a tech-savvy, creative digital marketer to support the dept's marketing and communications plans — in collaboration with the assistant dean.
The Marketing and Communications Contractor will be responsible for creating content for the website and social media channels, website maintenance, designing and producing print and digital brand materials, and executing communication plans that support the recruitment, programmatic, and strategic goals of the school.
This position reports directly to the assistant dean of marketing, communications & strategic initiatives.
The Marketing and Communications Contractor will also support the dept.'s website redesign project, working closely with the assistant dean and client web team.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required in marketing, communications, or related field(s).
Three plus years of related work experience.
Proven success as a digital marketer with experience using website and social media platforms
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write, edit, and produce compelling print and web content
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress, HTML, Google Analytics, and MailChimp (or similar email marketing platform)
Hands-on graphic design experience, including creating and editing original print and digital materials using Adobe Creative Cloud (primarily InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) and/or Canva, is a plus.
Ability to handle a high volume of work and operate in a fast-paced work environment
Comfortable analyzing data and trends, and making informed recommendations accordingly
Exceptional organizational skills, strong work ethic, detail-oriented multitasker able to prioritize work responsibilities and meet deadlines
Strong project management skills
Positive attitude and a forward thinker
Note
Proficiency in WordPress is required
