Hiebing is looking for an inspired Motion Designer/Video Editor to join its small and mighty video production team. You will work closely with our team of writers, art directors, creative directors and content specialists. Your primary focus will be on creating captivating motion graphics and animated content, along with video editing as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to generate a wide range of creative work across a great range of clients-from logo animation and social content to digital video and brand commercials.
Our Motion Designer/Video Editor is a key player in our video production department, responsible for powerful storytelling through visually stunning motion design.
Duties/Responsibilities
- File Prep: Prepare video footage for edit by organizing project bins, syncing audio, and creating proxies, selects and transcriptions
- Motion Design: Animation of type and graphics as required by storyboard or style frame, bringing creative concepts to life through motion graphics and animation
- Story Development: Collaborate with the creative team to understand the vision and story elements, ensuring the video aligns with the overall narrative.
- Production Assistant: Help out on video productions as needed in varying capacities.
- Post-Production: Incorporate visual effects, graphics, and sound elements to enhance the video's impact and overall quality.
- Video Editing: Experience in using the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) to edit raw footage into cohesive and engaging videos.
- Color Correction and Grading: Color correct LOG footage and enhance videos through color correction and grading techniques.
- Audio Editing: Edit and mix audio and develop sound design to achieve a seamless and professional final product.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all videos meet our high standards for quality, consistency, and technical specifications.
- Deadlines and Time Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet project deadlines, and communicate progress to the team effectively.
- Creative Input: Provide creative insights and ideas to improve video content and storytelling approaches.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Motion Design, Video Editing, Film Production or related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant work experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe After Effects & Premiere Pro) and a basic understanding of post-production processes, including color grading, audio editing, and motion design.
- Creativity: A passion for storytelling and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest quality output.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the rapidly evolving media industry.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous video editing and motion design work, personal projects, or relevant coursework is highly beneficial.
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
